Monodactylus argenteus (Monodactylus sebae)

Monodactylus Argenteus thrive in brackish or marine aquariums with a stable pH range of 7.5-8.5 and temperatures between 75-82°F (24-28°C). They require slightly salty water, achieved by adding marine salt to the tank. A spacious aquarium with open swimming areas and some hiding spots, like rocks or mangrove roots, provides an ideal environment. Their omnivorous diet includes high-quality flakes, pellets, and occasional frozen foods like brine shrimp. These active fish are best kept in groups and are suitable for experienced aquarists due to their water condition requirements and need for space. They are compatible with other peaceful or semi-aggressive species that thrive in similar brackish conditions.
